Friday, June 14th 2019 may not be easily forgotten by those affected. The whole saga or cleanup or raid like they called it began in very early hours of the day, as early as 1am.
I woke up to the news of hostels been forced opened by the NDLEA groups, I was still trying to get back some sleep around past 6am, when report got to me that the “Red vested” guys are already on standby to cart away guys in their Toyota Hiace buses, not one, but two, with their pickup vans. This really showed that this action was premeditated and planned. There was going to be a big party in the night of that day, which was later postponed indefinitely, so I guess the more reason the three bodies came around, not just to disrupt the event, but to take full advantage of the presence of who they want. But, it wasn’t funny at all for some folks that don’t have the courage to walk past security agencies.

We’ve heard of SARS knocking on people’s door, but we’ve not heard of break-ins. Forceful break-ins began last week Saturday, when an hostel around Kofesu was raided and students mobile phones were seized by the Harmony Police officers. They caught these allegedly suspects while still slumbering in their dreams, we hope to hear a report on the case, we don’t want it to die down. Even if it looked like some parties will love to soil the good name of this school and even the country, at large. I read from somebody’s WhatsApp status stating that she went for an interview and the moment she mentioned Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, the next question was, “hope you were not part of Gs?” Can you just imagine the image of us out there?Let’s keep thriving for excellence and those into illegal duties, it is just a matter of time. I presume Friday is just the beginning of things to be unfold by the operatives.
